Negligible use of TLM
Either
there are no TLMs, or the available TLMs and documents do not illustrate
continued and frequent use of TLM in teaching.

Developing
|
TLM use is at a very
basic level
Teachers use prescribed TLM only, without any updates or replacement
by more current aids. TLMs are used only for some subjects; not much
involvement of teachers or students in their preparation.

TLM given due importance,
system to self evaluate the standard and quality of TLMs
The
level of teachers’ use of TLMs is satisfactory as seen in class observation
records and performance appraisals. Self evaluation of quality and standards
of TLMs to assess TLMs’ effectiveness is routine.TLM is updated but not
regularly. Teachers need to concentrate more on the use of technology and
computer packages.
Need for a good balance of innovation, creativity
and resourcefulness in TLM use.

TLM use is of a high
order, implementation and effect of feedback received by self as well as peer
evaluation is visible
TLM
use goes hand-in-hand with topic-wise planning, lesson content, lesson
objectives, and activity planning, with good contributions from students,
parents and teachers. TLMs demonstrate the use of
innovations in teaching-learning methodology and the use of emerging
technology. State-of-the-art aids such as computer-aided learning,
interactive white boards, LCD projectors and screens, webinars, podcasts,
multimedia tools, e-learning, e-books. For differently-abled children -
low-vision kits, Braille textbooks, Braille slates, audio books side,
embossed TLMs, Taylor frames, stylus abacus, talking textbooks, computers
with speech software, reading machines, sign language interpreters,
transcription services, loop induction system, etc. Over and above the
self evaluation of effectiveness in the use of TLMs, there are attempts
towards peer evaluation, followed by implementation of the feedback. Class observation records, student feedback and
appraisals are very positive.

Distinguished
|
TLM is exceptional, frequent
evaluation (internal as well as external) of usage of TLMs, resulting in
continuous refinement
Community
participation/local flavour in TLMs creation. A system to monitor the
effectiveness of TLMs through frequent internal as well as external
evaluation resulting in continuous refinement to promote the achievement of lesson objectives is clearly visible. Continuous
implementation of innovative TLMs reflects in the steady improvement in
students’ achievement while learning with fun and comfort is easily observed.
Commendable efforts to showcase the innovative practices in the utilization
of TLMs to wider community.
