C	Proficient	Compliance to applicable norms, Committee profile satisfactory There is clear evidence of attempts made for improved compliance to the applicable norms and an appropriate member profile.SMC has the representation of local authority, educationists, parents of students, parents from disadvantaged group/weaker section,   teachers of the school, and professionals, with adequate women representation, and members are well educated. Members do not exhibit good communication, observation, and decision making skills, interest, involvement and experience in school matters, etc. There is no mechanism to evaluate and improve upon the compliance level and suitability of the committee profile.
D	Accomplished	Complete compliance to norms, Committee  profile competent enough The SMC profile shows complete compliance to the applicable norms and the members are competent enough and suitable to the role. (SMC shows the representation of all the relevant stakeholders as per the specifications, the members are suitably qualified, well experienced and competent. For e.g. members’ personal outlook, educational/professional backgrounds are good enough, have good leadership and decision making skills, and commendable involvement in school matters). There is a mechanism to evaluate and improve upon the compliance level and suitability of the committee profile.
E	Distinguished	Complete compliance to norms, Committee profile highly advanced and futuristic The SMC constitution is compliant to all norms, with a highly competent, highly advanced, futuristic and exemplary profile. (Representation of professionals from all the relevant sectors in order to enhance the performance and to make the school future ready, members are professionally qualified and experienced in decision making and leadership roles, members show a high level clarity of thought and expression and show deep involvement in governance related matters, and are/were associated with similar governing bodies).
