B	Developing	No formal reports, only some notes/records of visit, very low frequency of visits There are some records of school supervision. There are no proper reports but some documentation of the observations made. The frequency of school visits as shown by these records is not adequate.
C	Proficient	Systematically maintained records of school visits, visits are of desired frequency The committee’s school visit records are very systematically kept and well maintained. The records shows supervision visits of desired frequency.
D	Accomplished	Systematically maintained records, visits are of desired frequency, mode and nature of visit good enough Records show visits of good frequency and the nature of the visits is appropriate to get a realistic picture of the school level operations. There are both, formal (preplanned) and informal (ad hoc) school visits, the committee members have proper agenda and procedures to follow during school visits.
E	Distinguished	Comprehensive reports, systematic and advanced school visit mechanism Records show a very systematic and advanced mechanism for school visits, which has been successfully showcased to other schools. Differential mode of visit depending upon the nature of supervision to be performed. According to the type of assessment area, responsibility of school visits, report preparation, further action plans, etc. assigned to specific members or group of members.
